16 Micro-endosperm maize(MEM) cross combinations were planted separately in Guangxi Nanning and Shanxi Pingyao,the major agronomic characters and yield characters were observed,the broad sense heritability was estimated.The results were as following:(1)The days to tassel,days to pollen,days to silk and plant height and ear height were higher in Shanxi Pingyao than in Guangxi Nanning.The ear length,kernel weight per ear and 100-kernel weight were higher in Guangxi Nanning than in Shanxi Pingyao.The ear diameter was different from different cross combinations.(2)The days to tassel,days to pollen,days to silk,ear length and 100-kernel weight,the difference of the broad sense heritability in two locations was high.And the plant height,ear diameter,kernel weight per ear and 100-kernel weight,the broad sense heritability by combining variance analysis was higher than that of single variance analysis.
