Abstract
Pot experiment was conducted to study drought tolerance of three forge species of Elymus at seeding by determining relative water content,cell membrane permeability,activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD),content of MDA and content of free proline.The result showed that the membrane permeability,the free proline content,the superoxide dismutase activity and the MDA content were all increased under water stress.The initial conclusion indicated that the sequence of drought resistance ability of three forge species was as follow:Elymus dahuricus TuriczElymus canadensis L.Elymus sibiricus L.
