Abstract
The tragic consciousness and pessimistic philosophy is an important quarter of the rational spirit of a nation. The aesthetic value of tragic art is to preserve the hope for ideal life when in hardships, so as to have the confidence in the reform of the society. The pessimistic philosophy, although it has negative influence on the will of the people, can force efficiently the cognition of the limit of man himself, to break away from the control of religion and the social illusion, and promote the rational spirit and mindful consciousness of actuality.
