Abstract
Depuis 2005, la scène musicale de Montréal a été mainte fois célébrée et le maintien de sa vivacité est devenu un enjeu pour les acteurs locaux. Partant de cet intérêt pour la permanence de la scène, cet article s’intéresse non seulement à son inscription spatiale, mais également et surtout à sa dimension temporelle. Comment est maintenue une scène sur un territoire ? Quels choix sont faits de ce qui doit être maintenu ou non ? Suggérant que tout un travail d’alliance est nécessaire pour réussir à maintenir, stabiliser et conserver l’identité d’une scène culturelle locale à travers le temps, cet article jette un regard aux efforts fournis en ce sens par la scène musicale émergente montréalaise. Il s’intéresse plus spécifiquement à un espace de discussion mis en place en 2010 afin de débattre des façons d’assurer la continuité de la scène : l’Alliance pour le soutien aux musiques émergentes.
