La mthodologie dveloppe dans notre quipe autour de l'apprentissage au contrle cognitif a montr l'utilit d'exercer l'enfant, l'adolescent, ou l'adulte inhiber une stratgie de rsolution non pertinente dans l'objectif d'activer la stratgie adquate et ainsi permettre la correction de l'erreur. Fonction essentielle la rgulation des comportements, l'inhibition joue un rle majeur dans l'acquisition des premiers apprentissages fondamentaux. Tel est le cas de l'apprentissage au respect d'une consigne, pour lequel la capacit de l'enfant prter attention de faon slective aux informations pertinentes est cruciale. Notre objectif a t de transfrer notre mthodologie vers le monde de la classe. L'Inspection Acadmique du Calvados (France) a cr un Groupe Formation Action (GFA) intitul Pdagogie du contrle cognitif dans lequel interviennent enseignants, conseillers pdagogiques, inspecteurs de circonscription et chercheurs. Une dmarche psychopdagogique innovante a t mise en place en concevant avec les membres du GFA une squence d'apprentissage mtacognitif l'inhibition de la prgnance de l'action motrice, de faon amener l'enfant prter attention l'ensemble des lments d'une consigne complexe. L'tude porte sur des enfants de Moyenne Section d'cole maternelle gs de 4 5 ans (seconde anne du 1er cycle de scolarit en France). Elle montre un effet significatif d'un apprentissage centr sur les capacits de contrle et d'auto contrle oppos un apprentissage plus classique, dnu de toute composante excutive.
