In this paper a PWM method for zero voltage switched three-phase isolated rectifier is presented. The presented PWM scheme features lower maximum output inductor current ripple and lower duty-cycle loss by more than half. Therefore, a smaller output inductor can be used and the ZVS operation can be extended at wider load range for MOSFET devices by increasing the leakage inductance of the transformer. The steady state analysis of duty-cycle loss and inductor current ripple are addressed and verified by the simulation and experimental results for two different PWM schemes.
