El dret d’autodeterminació nacional ha estat un punt de fricció habitual\nentre el govern central i les nacions de la perifèria d’Espanya. Aquest article\nexamina els fonaments teòrics d’aquest dret, vinculat als principis democràtic,\nliberal i nacionalista. A continuació, s’aplica aquest concepte d’autodeterminació\na les nacions integrades en el si d’un estat democràtic com és ara\nEspanya, i es proposa un nou paradigma alternatiu a la concepció dominant.
