We present a polarization independent metasurface electromagnetic energy harvester. A new metasurface harvester is composed of an ensemble of 8 × 8 electrically-small resonators arranged periodically on a Rogers substrate. The harvester is designed in such a way that the maximum power transfer occurs at 2.6 GHz. The proposed harvester has a low profile, is easy to design, and most importantly, it has the property of polarization angle independency. Numerical simulations show that the array of electrically-small resonators can be highly efficient for maximizing power transfer to a resistive load with incident angle independency.
