Cette etude vise a analyser les sacres, jurons a base religieuse typiques de certaines varietes du francais quebecois, d'un point de vue discursif en proposant une approche qui met l'accent sur leurs fonctions communicatives. Au centre sera l'hypothese que les jurons, porteurs d'un sens essentiellement pragmatique, sont des formes plurifonctionnelles qui signalent generalement des attitudes affectives, mais peuvent s'apparenter aussi aux marqueurs discursifs, une de leur fonctions etant celle de contribuer a la coordination des interlocuteurs, a l'organisation de l'interaction et a la structuration de l'echange verbal. L'argumentation s'appuiera sur des donnees empiriques et sera suivie d'une reflexion qui situe la presente recherche dans un contexte disciplinaire.
