Abstract
Dans cet article, sont abordés les divers aspects de l’induction tels qu’ils apparaissent dans les productions et les expériences des chercheurs, étudiants gradués ou chercheurs universitaires, qui ont recours à la MTE dans leurs projets de recherche en pays francophones de l’Europe et de l’Amérique du Nord. C’est en raison de son caractère inductif que la MTE est à la fois reconnue pour son apport original dans la communauté scientifique et contestée pour sa non-conformité aux procédures habituelles de la démarche scientifique. Les divers aspects identifiés sont : les principes de l’exploration et de l’inspection, l’application du critère de l’emergent-fit, l’échantillonnage théorique, la manière particulière d’avoir recours aux écrits scientifiques, la sensibilité théorique et la circularité de la démarche.
