Abstract
Purified human placental alkaline phosphatase was chelated with EDTA. The chelated enzyme was further analyzed by isoelectrofocusing. Experimental evidence is presented suggesting the existence of at least two subunits with different isoelectric points in the enzyme molecule. The effect of Ampholine on alkaline phosphatase was evaluated.
