Dans cet article, les auteurs proposent une analyse de la place qu’a occupee au tournant des annees 1980 la litterature gaie dans la presse gaie francaise et quebecoise ( Gai Pied , Masques , Le Berdache ), ainsi que dans le catalogue de la maison d’edition Persona. Apres un portrait quantitatif du corpus, ils se penchent sur les sources proprement dites et montrent que la litterature renvoie a des preoccupations bien precises : revendication de l’homosexualite au sein de l’espace public, affirmation de modes de vie, construction d’une memoire, d’un passe historique et litteraire gai, interrogation sur la question pedophile. Leur contribution se conclut par une reflexion sur la notion meme de litterature gaie, fort problematique.
