Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract Buried pipelines are protected from external corrosion by coating and cathodic protection (CP). When the pipeline is adjacent to high-voltage power transmission lines, it would suffer from accelerated corrosion and reduced CP effectiveness due to the alternating current (AC) interference. In this work, the effect of AC on the properties and performance of epoxy coatings was studied in a simulated soil solution. The adhesion, water uptake and corrosion resistance of fusion bonded epoxy and liquid epoxy coatings were measured upon AC application. Scanning electron microscope and Fourier Transform-Infrared Spectroscopy were used to characterize the morphology and structures of the coatings under various AC voltages. A conceptual model was developed to illustrate the mechanistic aspect of AC induced coating degradation.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
