Abstract
Monsenor Melina explico, desde el punto de vista de la Enciclica “Humanae Vitae”, la funcion trascendental que tiene el ser humano en la relacion conyugal, otorgandole un valor dignificante a la donacion esponsal a traves de la complementariedad del cuerpo humano en la union unitiva y procreativa del hombre y la mujer. La Enciclica fue escrita por el Papa Pablo VI y fue publicada el 25 de julio de 1968. Este documento pontificio da a conocer la postura de la Iglesia catolica respecto a ciertos temas que a lo largo de la historia han generado mucha controversia por la diversidad de puntos de vista que las leyes y la ciencia han tomado en cuanto a su implicacion teorica y practica. El ser humano debe estar consciente que desde el momento de su concepcion, se le ha otorgado una naturaleza humana de la cual no puede prescindir. Es en esta facultad intrinseca donde el hombre ejerce su sexualidad de una forma libre pero sobre todo responsable, llevandola a plenitud en el sacramento del matrimonio donde su naturaleza trasciende para dar vida a un nuevo ser, por tal motivo cualquier acto sexual que se de dentro de la relacion conyugal debe estar abierto a la vida.
