The Warsaw Treaty Organization (Warsaw Pact) disintegration in 1991 made essential changes to the architecture of the European security. New collective security models don’t correspond the present realities and demand the adaptation to the changed system requirements. The institutes of collective security ensuring need to be reformed. Four years ago, on June 5, 2008, Russia initiated to create reliable basis of collective security in euroatlantic region on the legal and international treaty basis. The draft of such contract was developed in November, 2009 and sent to the states of Europe, the USA, Canada, and also to a number of the international organizations of the region, including NATO. The Russian Federation urged the states, and also the international European organizations, including NATO, to create system of collective security in euroatlantic region on the basis of principles of equal and identical security, provide the safety to all the participants of the contract. Present article says about how the affairs with Russia ’s initiative are.
