Abstract
Au Québec, 144 périodiques gais, tous types confondus, ont vu le jour depuis 1971. De quelles façons la presse gaie s’est-elle transformée et comment s’est-elle adaptée aux besoins de la communauté gaie? Dans cet article, l’auteur analyse les changements relatifs aux conditions de production et de diffusion, à la matérialité et au contenu des périodiques gais au Québec, tout en insistant plus particulièrement sur trois cas :Le Tiers(1971-1972),Gai(e)s du Québec(1977-1979) etRG(1984-2012). Par l’examen des sommaires et des éditoriaux, il mettra en évidence les liens que ces publications entretiennent avec l’histoire de la communauté gaie.
