Abstract
A lombalgia é uma queixa comum entre as gestantes. Apesar de comum a lombalgia deve ser tratada e não encarada como conseqüência normal da gestação, pois é um problema que gera uma grande repercussão í saúde da mulher no período gravídico-puerperal. Nesse estudo se objetivou avaliar a relação da dor lombar com a Idade Gestacional (IG). A maioria das entrevistadas referiram dor lombar em algum período, porém poucas fizeram tratamento. Participaram deste estudo 163 gestantes, í partir do 2º trimestre de gravidez, com idade entre 18 e 36 anos. Os dados foram coletados através de um questionário fechado adaptado do Quebec Back Pain Dasability Scale, onde se percebeu alta freqüência de lombalgia na amostra (I = 79,14%). O Teste Qui-quadrado não mostrou existir relação entre a freqüência da dor e a Idade Gestacional (χ2 0,05;3 = 0,379; p > 0,05). Os resultados revelaram um número significativo de mulheres apresentando dor lombar na gestação, independente da IG. A lombalgia gera desconforto í gestante, afetando sua qualidade de vida, por isso se faz necessário ampla discussão multiprofissional sobre lombalgia no período gravídico-puerperal.Palavras-chave: lombalgia, gestantes, idade gestacional.Â
