Cette recherche s'inscrit dans le cadre des littraties multiples. Elle s'intresse deux de ses composantes, les littraties scolaire et familiale en milieu minoritaire. Elle porte sur les effets d'un programme de maternelle quatre ans temps plein sur le langage et la lecture d'lves dont le milieu familial dmontre un haut niveau d'utilisation du franais (HNUF) dans ses activits de littratie, comparativement des lves dont le milieu familial utilise peu le franais lors de ses activits (FNUF). Les rsultats indiquent qu'au niveau du langage, le programme produit peu d'effets chez les lves HNUF alors que chez les lves FNUF, il produit une amlioration significative la fin de la maternelle et de la 2 e anne, sans toutefois permettre aux lves FNUF de rejoindre les lves HNUF. En lecture, les gains significatifs observs chez les deux groupes la fin de la maternelle se maintiennent en 2 e anne. Le programme de maternelle temps plein compense donc, en partie, le manque d'activits de littratie en franais de la famille.
