NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an annual and special meeting (the Meeting) of the holders (Unitholders) of trust units (Trust Units) of Vermilion Energy Trust (the Trust) will be held at the Grand Lecture Theatre, Metropolitan Centre, 333 - 4th Avenue S.W., Calgary, Alberta on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. (Calgary time) for the following purposes, which are described in more detail in the Proxy Statement and Information Circular of the Trust (the Circular) accompanying this Notice, namely: 1. to receive the consolidated financial statements of the Trust together with the Report of the Auditors
