Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The objective of this study was to investigate Korean ethnic church members’ attitudes toward the English worship service in Montreal, Canada. The participants (n=13 in total) were 11 Korean immigrant youth members aged 15 to 22, one adult member who would lead the service, and the senior pastor of the church. Even though participant observation was used for data-collection, the main instrument of this study for collecting data was qualitative interviewing, which was audio-recorded and transcribed later by the researchers. According to the data analysis of interpreting meanings of the participants’ words and behaviors, the results of the study in general revealed that the English worship service might be beneficial for Korean immigrant youth’s Korean language and culture maintenance in general. However, the service itself at its current form might not be enough for the Korean ethnic church to keep their younger generations, thus implying that the Korean ethnic church should focus more on finding proper ways to integrate this English worship service into the Korean ministry and to attract younger generations for the future growth of the ministry.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
