Aux États-Unis comme au Canada, les recherches sur la transition aux études postsecondaires et l’expérience étudiante ont tendance à se concentrer sur l’étude des populations majoritaires (anglophones) qui étudient dans des programmes universitaires de langue anglaise dans des établissements anglophones. De plus, ces études ont tendance à utiliser quasi exclusivement des données quantitatives. Les résultats présentés ici viennent combler une lacune importante dans le domaine de la recherche sur les études postsecondaires en permettant une meilleure compréhension de la transition et de l’expérience étudiante de jeunes francophiles qui étudient en français dans le Régime d’immersion de l’Université d’Ottawa, du point de vue des étudiants eux-mêmes.
