Abstract
Cet article tente de penser l'impact du multiculturalisme sur la culture canadienne. Il pose un regard critique sur l'étanchéité des diverses cultures en présence et s'interroge sur la hiérarchie qui les fonde. S'opposant à l'idée d’un multiculturalisme émancipateur et critique de l'Etat-Nation, cette réflexion veut penser les facteurs socio-économiques et la classe sociale sur lesquelles se base la notion même de multiculture. Le multiculturalisme permet à l'État de légiférer sur la représentation de l'hybridité de la nation et nous amène à réfléchir sur le néocolonialisme présent dans les pays du Nord à l'heure de la mondialisation.
