Abstract
The current extensive literature on the strategic management of information technologies often fits into exclusive logic systems. The analysis in this article proposes to take advantage of the complementarity of the different works in this field of research. The starting point for the reflection is a thought experience set on a desert island in the Pacific on which 10 individuals are stranded in a situation of conflict. Each situation described corresponds to a technical strategic configuration. Certain situations are then associated with a type of strategic value (caution, assimilation and appropriation). Finally, the technical strategic configurations and the forms of strategic values are linked to specific theoretical contextualization the author provides by means of a thought experience.
