La présence chinoise dans les pays du sud-est asiatique n’est pas nouvelle, mais l’ampleur et la forme qu’elle prend au cours des dernières années sont particulières. Pékin a multiplié les projets diplomatiques relatifs aux TIC en Asie du Sud-Est, un tel processus s’accompagne d’un mouvement d’expansion des entreprises chinoises de télécommunications vers la région. Cet article analyse les nouvelles dynamiques d’intégration régionale et les liens entre les stratégies développées par le gouvernement chinois et par les entreprises. Nos résultats permettent de démontrer que l’évolution de l’industrie chinoise des TIC s’insère dans une ambition nationale définie qui est l’affirmation de la puissance du pays au niveau régional. Ils montrent également que l’intégration de l’Asie passe avant tout par le développement de réseaux de production régionaux dans lesquels les firmes jouent un rôle central.
