Transparence et intégrité dans l’intégration économique entre le Canada et l’Union européenne: nécessité d’une clause anticorruption dans l’AECG

Abstract
L’auteur de cet article deplore le fait que l’Accord economique et commercial global entre le Canada et l’Union europeenne (AECG) ne contienne pas de clause anti-corruption. Etant donne que l’AECG vise a accroitre l’exportation des biens et services et que la plupart des Etats concernes n’ont pas de dispositifs efficaces de lutte contre la corruption transnationale, l’absence d’une telle clause risque d’accentuer le niveau de corruption dans les transactions economiques entre le Canada et l’Europe. Des lors, il est propose que la reouverture prochaine des discussions autour de l’AECG soit l’occasion d’inserer cette precieuse clause. Cela ne devrait pas etre une enorme contrainte pour le Canada ni pour plusieurs Etats developpes de l’Union europeenne qui repriment deja tres serieusement ce phenomene.
