Abstract
L’auteur propose une problématique qui replace le développement local dans le contexte du mode de régulation postkeynésien propre aux sociétés industrialisées actuelles. Il insiste sur la territorialisation du social et du politique, et soutient que les nouveaux espaces qui prennent forme au niveau local sous l’action de l’État, des pouvoirs locaux ou des mouvements sociaux sont en quelque sorte une sphère « intermédiaire », un interface entre l’État et l’individu, entre l’économie performante et l’économie précaire, entre les pôles de développement et les régions périphériques. Ce sont des lieux de convergence — ce qui ne veut pas dire de consensus — d’acteurs sociaux d’ancrage différent, comme le fut jadis l’État nation. Autour des espaces locaux s’articulent des configurations stables de rapports sociaux qui permettent la gestion postkeynésienne du social.
