Abstract
Die Frage der Langzeitarchivierung digitaler Daten hat in der deutschen »Museumslandschaft« ihre spezifische Ausprägung. Im Vergleich der Rahmenbedingungen mit jenen des Archiv- und Bibliotheksbereiches werden die Besonderheiten sichtbar. Schlaglichtartig beleuchtet der Artikel die Rahmenbedingungen, die jede Konkretisierung determinieren. Ein Blick über die nationalen Grenzen weist auf Ressourcen wie die UNESCO »Guidelines for the Preservation of Digital Heritage« oder die »Digital Preservation for Museums: ecommendations« des Canadian Heritage Information Network, die geeignet sind im Sinne von »best practice«-Empfehlungen die Entwicklung von Strukturen und Lösungen für die Langzeitarchivierung digitaler Daten in deutschen Museen anzuregen.
