Abstract
Il est intéressant de constater que l’essor du roman policier algérien francophone, dont Yasmina Khadra est le meilleur représentant, se fait dans les années 90, dans un pays en proie à une violence inédite avec des attentats qui éprouvent durement la population civile. Dans ce contexte, la ville d’Alger, ses rues, ses monuments, ses quartiers riches ou pauvres qui constituent le décor de la plupart de ces romans, apparaît comme la métaphore ultime de l’agonie d’un peuple et d’une histoire. Les figures de la mort qu’elle soit individuelle ou collective hantent la ville dont elles dessinent une nouvelle cartographie sanglante.
