Abstract
Dans cet avis, le Conseil exprime sa vive preoccupation devant le nombre considerable d'adultes quebecois qui ont un niveau insuffisant de competence en litteratie. Aussi lance-t-il un appel a la mobilisation concertee des pouvoirs politiques de meme que des organismes communautaires et des milieux du travail, de l'emploi, de la sante, de la culture et de l'education. Dans cet avis, le Conseil propose deux perspectives pour aborder la litteratie des adultes. La premiere repose sur la mesure des competences. La deuxieme perspective s'interesse au rapport a l'ecrit des adultes qui ont un faible niveau de litteratie et aux pratiques qu'ils ont adoptees.
