Abstract
C’est à partir de notre expérience avec des personnes atteintes d’un cancer mammaire que nous aborderons la question des conséquences de la notion de transmission génétique de certaines pathologies à pronostic létal. Dans les entretiens cliniques avec des femmes mammectomisées, il est question du risque génétique. Comment élaborent-elles cette donne médicale ? La mère qui a porté la vie se vit-elle avec le cancer, porteuse de la mort ? Le diagnostic de cette maladie est-il une entrave à la construction de relations mère-fille contenantes ? Comment un processus psychothérapeutique peut-il permettre un réaménagement tel que la fée des ténèbres puisse se vivre à nouveau comme une mère suffisamment bonne ? Toutes ces questions sont développées dans l’article à partir d’une vignette clinique.
