“MAY GOD US KEEP FROM SINGLE VISION.” Rather than allowing the materialist vision that Blake attributes to Newton in this plea to overwhelm us, let it provide a vision that integrates the material with the intellectual, the emotional, and most of all, the spiritual. This vision is one that resonates well with a plea: Aoki, the “father” of Canadian curriculum theory, makes in his 1978 essay, “Toward Curriculum Inquiry in a New Key,” in Curriculum in a New Key .
