Abstract
En s’insérant dans le continuum de discussion entre les paradigmes “intégrationistes” et “parallélistes” de l’éducation autochtone qui a récemment été mis de l’avant par Widdowson et Howard, cet article se penche sur les négociations quotidiennes qu’opèrent les Inuit du Nunavik qui entreprennent des études postsecondaires. Ces pratiques, dont on ne tient pas compte dans les registres, sont tout aussi déterminantes sur les résultats scolaires et sur les taux de graduation, sinon davantage, en plus d’être révélatrices de leurs besoins, aspirations et intentions tout au long de leur parcours postsecondaire. En ce sens, leurs expériences méritent d’être mieux comprises. Ce texte propose de la sorte d’explorer trois aspects de la négociation des étudiants postsecondaires du Nunavik afin de nourrir les discussions sur l’éducation inuit.
