Abstract
La Bibliothèque nationale du Québec, qui a pour mandat de rassembler le patrimoine documentaire publié, joue un rôle essentiel dans la vie culturelle du Québec. Après avoir défini le mandat de la Bibliothèque et posé des jalons historiques, l’auteur, président-directeur général de l’organisme, présente les grands dossiers liés à la consolidation et au développement : élargissement du dépôt légal, informatisation, réorganisation administrative et construction.
