The management of multi-actor logistic chains is now an important research theme in management, especially from the point of view of firms' continuous adaptation to the increasing demands of their customers (in terms of deadline, variety, etc.). To come to terms with this, a certain number of works stress the importance of an optimal coupling between two antagonistic, but nevertheless complementary models: lean manufacturing and agility. The research note synthesizes these issues, but by indicating that only a wider vision, based on "political metaphor," makes it possible to understand the deterrents to a flexibilization of multi-actor logistic chains [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
