Abstract
L’émergence des archives en ligne, dont l’ordonnancement repose sur une logique singulière, indépendante des modalités traditionnelles d’inventorisation des documents, oblige à poser un tout autre regard sur la nature de l’archive et sa finalité, ainsi que sur les conditions de son éventuelle diffusion. Qu’advient-il alors du caractère mythique du document jauni, de la photo et de l’objet décolorés ou des pistes sonores abîmées par le passage du temps, conservés dans des lieux pratiquement abandonnés et inaccessibles ? Quelle importance accorde-t-on aujourd’hui au travail méticuleux et patient de l’archiviste ? Ne devient-on pas tous, en cette ère technologique, archivistes du quotidien, par tout ce qu’on consigne, sans véritable filtrage ou hiérarchisation des contenus, via les plateformes des nouveaux médias et des réseaux sociaux ? C’est pour alimenter la réflexion entourant ces vastes interrogations sur l’archive et les nouvelles représentations qui en émergent dans le contexte médiatique et à l’ère du numérique qu’ont été rassemblés les six articles de ce dossier, qui abordent l’objet à la fois dans une perspective théorique et d’un point de vue pratique.
