Abstract
El texto analiza las ventajas de la formación por competencias en el caso de la carrera de Derecho, a partir de la experiencia docente del autor, quien pone el énfasis en la necesidad de que la carrera se modernice y entregue a los estudiantes destrezas prácticas ligadas al ejercicio profesional. Desde la perspectiva de la enseñanza del Derecho, es fundamental contar con un currículum que efectivamente incorpore la noción de competencia y la desarrolle en todos sus aspectos (qué, cómo, cuándo enseñar y evaluar) de manera armónica, para que la enseñanza del Derecho vaya más allá de la clase tradicional.
