Historique de l’exploitation de systèmes intégrés de gestion de bibliothèques (SIGB) dans le réseau de l’Université du Québec. Choix et acquisition d’un SIGB commercial. Modèle de gestion à caractère participatif. Mise en oeuvre du projet d’implantation du nouveau SIGB en trois étapes. Mise sur pied d’un catalogue unifié : caractéristiques et défis surmontés dans le cadre de la fusion de huit banques de données.
