Abstract
Le cas de la romancière belge Amélie Nothomb interroge la tension historique traditionnelle existant entre l’art et l’argent. La romancière présente en effet la caractéristique de cumuler des profits à la fois littéraires et économiques. En mobilisant des données de nature variée, la trajectoire littéraire d’Amélie Nothomb a été reconstruite et pensée comme une suite de positions à l’intersection de contraintes contextuelles et de dispositions et ressources individuelles. Cette démarche permet de mieux saisir les difficultés et enjeux qui se posent habituellement aux écrivaines et écrivains francophones, de mieux identifier certains mécanismes actuels de production de la valeur d’une oeuvre, ainsi que les conditions sociohistoriques de possibilité d’une obtention de profits hétérogènes.
