Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract This paper highlights an innovative hate crime awareness project called Courage in the Face of Hate. This is a multi-faceted project, revolving around victim support, research, and education. The team of researchers, videographers, and educators conducted victim focus groups and interviews with LGBT communities across Canada. These formed the basis of an educational video with accompanying lesson plan, targeting high school students and telling the stories of hate crime victims. This project was intended to both empower victims of hate crimes and to raise awareness of the dangers of hate crimes among the general public, particularly high school students. We describe here our approach, key themes, and reactions to the video.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
