La Comision Europea ha afirmado su intencion de acelerar las negociaciones de la Asociacion Transatlantica sobre Comercio e Inversion, entre la Union Europea y los Estados Unidos de America, mas conocido como TTIP por sus siglas en ingles y de proceder a la ratificacion del Tratado entre la UE y Canada (CETA) antes del final de 2016. No obstante, a lo largo de estos ultimos meses han surgido numerosas voces criticas respecto de ambos tratados y las posibles consecuencias de estos tratados sobre la economia y en particular sobre el empleo y los derechos sociales y laborales. A efectos de aproximarnos a estas consecuencias el articulo aborda analisis en dos fases: en primer lugar se analizan las previsiones especificamente laborales que se han introducido, o se pretenden introducir en los textos, dentro del marco de la politica comercial de la UE; en segundo lugar se estudian las consecuencias de los principales instrumentos contenidos del TTIP y del CETA, sobre los derechos de las y los trabajadores. Finalmente se pondran en relacion ambas partes del analisis a efectos de valorar el efecto del tratado sobre los derechos laborales en ambos lados del Atlantico.
