Abstract

O estudo busca elucidar questões que posicionam uma Instituição de Educação Superior no contexto do desenvolvimento de políticas de inovação, ciência e tecnologia, pautado na elucidação das contribuições de uma universidade comunitária para o fortalecimento das políticas de inovação, ciência e tecnologia na região sul do estado de Santa Catarina. As contribuições teóricas elencam aspectos relacionados à sociedade do conhecimento e a contribuição das políticas de inovação, ciência e tecnologia e da tríplice-hélice para a materialização de uma sociedade baseada em um novo fator de produção. A pesquisa, pautada em uma visão de mundo interpretativista e com uma abordagem qualitativa, fez uso de métodos de pesquisa bibliográficos e documentais para a coleta de dados. Aos resultados, cabe destacar o papel da universidade estudada na perspectiva de fomentar uma das estruturas da tríplice-hélice, de modo que a contribuição para o desenvolvimento das políticas de inovação, ciência e tecnologia possam estar cada vez mais incorporadas em sua identidade institucional.
