Mechanistic Modeling of Tubular Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Operating with Syngas
Bibliographic record
Abstract
A model for a cathode-supported tubular SOFC operating with H2 and syngas derived from solid fuels has been developed. Momentum, mass, energy and charge transport equations coupled with electrochemical reactions (H2, CO oxidation and O2 reduction) as well as chemical (water-gas shift) reaction are considered in the model. The model also takes into account the radiative heat transfer between the cell and air-preheating tube. Due to the lack of experimental data for syngas in tubular cells, the model is validated against published experimental data using H2. The model results are in good agreement with experimental data. The distributions of temperature, current density, reversible cell voltage, overpotential and species mole fractions within the cell are discussed in the case of a fuel consisting of a mixture of H2, CO, H2O, CO2 and N2.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
