Abstract
Failure to fully provide funds to tackle HIV, including through the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, will prolong the epidemic and in many countries mean that it rebounds and grows, said a report by the Global Fund Advocates Network released at the 2016 International Aids Conference in Durban this week. Although the world had made encouraging progress in tackling AIDS, the report predicted that if contributions to the Global Fund stalled, HIV infections and deaths from AIDS would be likely to rise.
