Abstract
Avec l'adoption de la Loi sur les activites cliniques et de recherche en matiere de procreation assistee et des deux reglements qui s'y rattachent, la Regie d'assurance maladie du Quebec rembourse desormais les frais medicaux et la medication entourant la procreation medicalement assistee (PMA), de l'insemination artificielle jusqu'a la fecondation in vitro. Si cette loi a permis, dans une certaine mesure, de baliser l'exercice de la PMA au Quebec, tout en rendant cette intervention accessible a l'ensemble de la population, elle comporte toutefois plusieurs lacunes. La PMA interpelle le Conseil depuis de nombreuses annees et l'a amene a se prononcer sur la question a plusieurs reprises. Dans son memoire, le Conseil propose 13 recommandations qui visent notamment a mieux encadrer cette pratique au Quebec, a encourager la recherche et a prevenir les causes de l'infertilite.
