Abstract
Le Bresil est une societe moderne industrielle et complexe qui a connu des mouvements massifs de migration de la campagne vers la ville a la recherche de meilleures conditions de vie. Le migrant de milieu rural, le plus souvent nonscolarise, fait face en ville a de nombreux deplacements en transports collectifs, a des transactions commerciales, a une nouvelle activite remuneratrice. Il est alors confronte a de nouveaux defis au sein de ses activites quotidiennes, tels la gestion du budget et les echanges marchands. Six femmes « migrantes de l’interieur » nous ont relate leurs usages du budget. Leurs recits de vie revelent non seulement les competences acquises mais autant les structures de participation (Rogoff, 1995) telles la collaboration de leurs proches ou encore les dispositifs d’instruction mis en place par leur employeur. Ont-elles developpe l’instrument budgetaire a l’occasion de ces collaborations ?
