Abstract
Cet article présente certains résultats d’une recherche doctorale portant sur l’expérience de mères ayant perdu un enfant dans un contexte où la mort ne s’annonce pas… celui de la mort subite du nourrisson. La spécificité de cette perte de même que les caractéristiques de ce deuil seront tout d’abord abordées. L’objectif de l’étude de même que la méthodologie utilisée seront par la suite précisées. Enfin, comme résultat, les significations que les mères ont accordées aux pratiques ayant trait au constat du décès et à ses causes seront décrites et analysées.
