Abstract
ABSTRACT. In a writing project, Aboriginal parents chose and told stories from their lives to their children, grade five students at an inner city school. The children recorded the stories, which were compiled in a book. At a public book launch, the authors read excerpts from their work. Themes from six stories are analyzed and discussed in relation to criteria that promote a strength-based approach to Aboriginal education. Ils les ont racontees a des enfants de 5eme annee d'une ecole du centre-ville. Les enfants ont enregistre ces histoires et les ont rassemblees pour en constituer un livre. Lors du lancement public de ce livre, les auteurs en ont lu des extraits. Les themes de six histoires ont ete analyses et sont presentes en fonction des criteres favorisant une approche fondee sur les forces des apprenants autochtones.
