Abstract
Le comportement des individus est très souvent influencé par leur environnement, notamment le comportement de leurs pairs. À partir des données issues de l’enquête sur les usages des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (TIC) par les ménages et citoyens camerounais, nous estimons les effets des pairs et les multiplicateurs sociaux des usages d’Internet. L’estimation du modèle linéaire en moyenne par la méthode de variables instrumentales (VI) fondée sur des restrictions d’exclusion confirme l’influence positive du voisinage social sur les usages d’Internet. Cette approche permet ainsi de trouver les multiplicateurs sociaux de 4,167 pour l’usage de la communication interpersonnelle, 10,204 pour la recherche et 7,692 pour le téléchargement en ligne.
