Abstract
This article introduces a critical analysis about the novel The Country of Cinnamon (2008) from the theory of Linda Hutcheon, in order to place the narrative of William Ospina in the new literary parody and interrogate the official story. This hermeneutical approach intended to claim the aesthetic author´s proposal, in his literary exercise, to understand the truth of the story from the perspective of marginalized voices, so the importance of intertextual rewriting from the glace of others, the mestizo, history of the vanquished as a different way of postoficial literature. In this regard, an analysis will be made from the historiographical metafiction own characteristics, Canadian researcher, including political parody and fictionalization, theoretical trend that allows reinterpreting the past in a horizon of meaning to the present.
