Abstract
Cérémonie, récit de Yasmina Chami-Kettani, en plus d’exprimer une critique du mariage dans la société marocaine et de mettre en évidence l’aporie du rapport homme-femme, propose un fonctionnement intéressant au niveau de la fiction. Dans ce texte où s’imbriquent des épisodes du passé dans lesquels on relate des récits liés de près ou de loin avec la mort, celle-ci ne fonctionne ni comme thème, ni comme motif; elle relance la fiction, nourrit le récit et propose une forme de renouvellement de la stratégie narrative. C’est pourquoi elle n’est pas prise en compte comme synonyme de fin, mais de recommencement, de ressort pour l’action. La mère, la vie, la mort, s’entremêlent, se nouent, s’encryptent et se décryptent comme les lieux du deuil mais aussi de la renaissance de la fiction.
